Stop for a second. Just stop.
Take a breath and look around at the landscape of your soul. Are you walking through a heavy fog that refuses to lift? Do you feel the claws of anxiety digging into your shoulders every time you try to rest? Maybe you’ve spent years white-knuckling your way through life, pretending the "vultures" of depression aren’t circling your joy.
Brother or sister in Christ, hear me clearly: You were not made for the shadows. You were blood-bought for the light.
Today marks a tectonic shift in how we approach the brokenness of the mind. We have officially moved from davidlombard.com to Holy Psych. This isn't just a domain change or a fresh coat of slate, navy, and gold paint. This is a declaration of war against the lie that mental health and the Gospel belong in separate rooms.
The revolution has arrived. Welcome to Holy Psych.
The Marriage of Clinical Precision and Explosive Power
For too long, believers have been forced to choose between two extremes. On one side, you have "the world’s" solutions: quick fixes, pills alone, and fluffy tips about self-esteem that reek of arrogance and ignore the Creator. On the other side, you have a brand of "spiritualized" advice that tells you to "just pray more" while your brain chemistry is screaming for help.
Both are incomplete. Both leave you stranded.
Holy Psych is the integration of high-level clinical psychology with the explosive, life-altering power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I’m not interested in "managing" your symptoms until you die. I’m interested in the radical transformation of your mind through the lens of Scripture and the best tools modern science has to offer.
When we talk about overcoming anxiety, we aren't just talking about breathing exercises. We are talking about an act of rebellion against the prince of this world. We are talking about reclaiming the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Why the Transition?
You might be wondering why I am leaving davidlombard.com behind. To put it bluntly: This mission may be led by one man, but it is meant to serve far more than one man. I’m the psychologist, pastor, and staff behind this practice, and Holy Psych gives that mission a sharper banner: a tactical manual for the soul for believers who are tired of the status quo.
The name "Holy Psych" is intentional. "Holy" because this work is set apart, consecrated for God’s purposes. "Psych" because the psyche: the soul: is the very territory where the battle is won or lost. I’m taking that territory seriously.
If you are struggling with depression symptoms, you don’t need a cheerleader. You need a strategist. You need a shepherd who understands the neurobiology of your pain and the theological reality of your hope.
The Pillars of Holy Psych
I am streamlining my focus to provide the most potent support possible. Here is how I am showing up for the fight:
1. Christian Counseling: The Deep Dive ($300/hr)
This is for those who are ready to do the hard work of unearthing the roots. Whether you are recovering from narcissistic abuse or navigating the wreckage of a marriage, my clinical-pastoral approach doesn't shy away from the dark places. I bring the light of the Word into the deepest crevices of trauma. I provide counseling that doesn't just soothe; it heals.
2. The Holy Psych Community: The Movement ($39/mo)
This is the heartbeat of the revolution. High-level counseling isn't always accessible to everyone, but the truth should be. The Holy Psych Community offers relief and support for $39 per month, providing full access to posts, podcasts, messages, trainings, resources, and live events.
It’s where we learn to use our anxiety as a signal for prayer rather than a reason for paralysis.

Stop Making Excuses
I’m going to be honest with you: the "tough love" kind. Many of you have turned your worry into a form of worship. You ruminate on your problems until they become your idols. You’ve become comfortable in your dysfunction because it’s familiar.
Hear me: Worry is an act of arrogance. It is the belief that you can solve through stress what God has already handled through Grace.
It is time to stop settling for a life that is "manageable." You were called to be more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). That means we don't just survive social anxiety; we dominate it with the peace of God. We don't just cope with a controlling ex; we walk in the wisdom and boundaries provided by the Holy Spirit.

A New Identity
You are not your diagnosis. You are not your past trauma. You are not the "narcissist's victim" or the "depressive." You are the "workmanship" of God (Ephesians 2:10), created in Christ Jesus for good works.
Holy Psych is here to remind you of that identity every single day. I’m here to drip with thanksgiving and reek of the confidence that comes from a life surrendered to the King.
The transition is more than a URL. It’s an invitation to a higher way of living. It’s a call to leave the "fluffy tips" behind and embrace the radical, explosive reality of a mind renewed by the Holy Spirit.
Run headlong into this new chapter. Don't look back. The fog is lifting, and the Son is rising.
Welcome home. Welcome to Holy Psych.
Blessings and bold maneuvers,
Dr. David Lombard Pastor, Psychologist, and Fellow Traveler
